While Finland tries to get rid of the brand "the country of thousand lakes", we will still enjoy finnish nature with all its complements: lakes, forests, bad weather (not enjoyable but after it goes one is pleased and satisfied with even several sun rays). Finnish people are not "afraid" of bad weather, they are living to the fullest no matter what does the thermometer say. We start living when the King Sun starts to reign.
Kuusijarvi was THE place to celebrate Easter 2014, and also the beginning (finally) of spring. A perfect place to spend the day with your friends, family, with the loved ones or alone, if you like. There is no privacy at all, I would call it "public nature"- where people come and go, spend nice and not very quite time. But with all that this is the place to come during the 4 seasons, because every time you´ll find something different to do. Last time we came here we tried "winter sauna and the frozen lake". I also understood that in summers the lake smells bad, in spring though it was fantastic, boys proved it (brrrr).
Kuusijarvi can be found on TripAdvisor. At the moment it ranks #8 out of 15 attractions in Vantaa. Vantaa is a city near Helsinki.
