World Travel Awards 2014. Part 2.

World Travel Awards, established in 1993, is a brand recognized globally as a quality and excellence trademark. It is considered as the most prestigious award program in tourism, casting thousands of votes from tourism industry professionals, in order to choose the best “player” of the field.

My Votes:

1. Europe's Leading Design Hotel: HotelArts Barcelona, Spain
I gave them my vote and I also hope they are going to win for being cool, famous, located in Barcelona and for offering me an internship.

2. Europe's Leading Destination: Barcelona, Spain
I haven´t visited Barcelona yet, but I know I´ll love it. For now, it is in my top “To Visit” list. But If I forget about me, and think about what my friends and acquaintances said about Barcelona – it should win the Leading Destination award, everyone recommends it.

3.  Europe's Leading Family Resort: ARDiamante Beach SPA Hotel & Convention Centre, Spain
And at this point I could finally vote for something I personally seen and half experienced. Spa, Convention Centre and Family Resort – sounds like too many things in one place, but the truth is that it all actually works.  Location, facilities, customer oriented services and installations make this resort a perfect place to spend time with whole family.

I am also considering myself lucky for making part of AR TEAM, and I can sincerely tell you that everyone is working hard to make our guests live unforgettable experiences.

4.  Europe's Leading Island Destination: Canary Islands
I am sure you also have 3,4…10 friends that visited Canary Islands once, twice….

5. Europe's Leading Low-Cost Airline: airberlin
Because they give free snacks. Don´t forget we are living a low-cost era!

6.       Europe's Leading Meetings & Conference Destination: Berlin, Germany
I suppose I was influenced by ITB Berlin. Now I see Berlin as the center of Europe in MICE Tourism.

7.       Europe's Leading New Hotel: Pousada de Cascais Cidadela Historic Hotel & Art District, Portugal
I was happy to see Cascais in this large list of hotels, resorts, destinations etc. I discovered this small Portuguese town last spring, and fell in love with it. I casted my vote because of the town, even though the hotel also looks quite impressive. I hope I will have the opportunity to visit Cascais one more time.

8.       Europe's Leading Tourist Board: Instituto de Turismo de España (TURESPAÑA)
For the good marketing  they are doing outside Spain.

9.            Europe's Leading Travel Management Company: Carlson Wagonlit Travel
For being the best of their field!

What do you think? Who do you think should win?
